• Providing spiritual and religious care to all inpatients, families and staff (as needed).

• Collaborating and communicating effectively with nursing, medical, social work and child life staff to provide coordinated and patient-centered bedside care.

To qualify, you must have:

• Successful completion of at least three units of Clinical Pastoral Education.

• Interfaith and multicultural experience in working with people of many religions (and no religion) from all over the world

• Experience working with children and families

• Ability to communicate well and work on a team—“play well with others”

• Ability to minister in hospital setting in accordance with accepted standards of pastoral practice and sensitivity to the unique needs of pediatric patients and cultural diversity.

• Ability to be flexible regarding scheduling as the role is on-call including nights.

• Applicant must be able to reach hospital within half an hour.

• Must be available 5:00 pm to 8:00 am at least five days a week.

• Must work well in crisis situations and with bereavement.
