The Department of Mathematics in the College of Arts and Sciences at the University of Miami seeks an outstanding candidate to fill a tenure-eligible position at the rank of Professor beginning August 15, 2024. We particularly invite candidates whose research interests include analysis and partial differential equations arising in fluid and gas dynamics, kinetic theory, plasma physics and astrophysics, and who have a demonstrated record of leadership in this field by virtue of publications, extramural funding, service on editorial boards of leading journals, and invitations to speak at leading conferences and workshops. A Ph.D. in Mathematics or related field is required, and a strong commitment to pedagogical excellence is expected.
