The Microbiology Laboratory Technologist II: Performs clinical microbiology testing on tissue and platelet samples looking for aerobic, anaerobic, and fungal isolates to ensure the aseptic recovery and manufacturing of products for transplant and transfusion. The specialty department performs clinical microbiology testing and specialized analytical testing based on the needs of Tissue Manufacturing. In 2023, Solvita's traditional microbiology department tested an average of 50,000 cultures per month, and 572,000 for the year.
