Queen's Health System Radiation Therapist - West Radiation Therapy (Call-In, Varied Shifts) in Ewa Beach, Hawaii
RESPONSIBILITIES
I. JOB SUMMARY/RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Performs radiation therapy and simulation procedures on the patient in accordance with prescribed treatment plan.
II. TYPICAL PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
• Essential: standing, walking, seeing, hearing, speaking, lifting usual weight of 5 pounds up to 25 pounds, pushing/pulling weight up to 10 pounds, reaching above shoulder level, repetitive arm/hand motions.
• Continuous: carrying usual weight of 5 pounds.
• Frequent: stooping/bending, gripping of an object for prolonged periods.
• Operates linear accelerators, simulators, computer, calculator, blood irradiator.
III. TYPICAL WORKING CONDITIONS:
• Not substantially subjected to adverse environmental conditions.
• Exposure to radiation, body fluids, communicable diseases and mechanical/electrical units.
• Work environment is very fast paced.
IV. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
A. EDUCATION/CERTIFICATION AND LICENSURE:
• Current Hawaii State license as a Radiation Therapist.
• Current BLS/HCP certification.
B. EXPERIENCE:
• Experience as Radiation Therapist preferred.
