Atlantic Health System is seeking a per diem Radiation Therapist for the Oncology Department at Hackettstown Medical Center to work 8:00am - 4:00pm, no weekends.

Essential Functions/Responsibilities:

• Administer prescribed dose of radiation in accordance with the Radiation Oncologists prescription

• Fabricate and use custom immobilization for accurate patient treatment

• Perform daily quality assurance of linear accelerator prior to the start of patient treatment

• Educate patient and there caregiver by answering questions about radiation

• Monitor patients for radiation side effects and alert nurses when necessary

• Charge capture patient treatment and review charges for accuracy

  Qualifications for Internal Candidates

Minimum Education:

• Graduate of an accredited Radiation Therapy Program required

Minimum Experience:

• 1-3 years experience working as a Radiation Therapist preferred. Will consider a new graduate.

Licenses/Certifications:

• Active NJ Radiation Therapist License required

• ARRT certified

• BLS

Qualifications:

• Knowledge of Varian TrueBeam, Aria and Epic preferred
