QA/QC Coordinator

Department: Quality Assurance

Location: Houston, TX

Compensation: $70,000 - $75,000 / year

Summary

This position is responsible for the implementation and management of the Cotton Construction division Quality Assurance Program to assure all projects meet Cotton’s high standards of quality. The position will work directly with both internal and external team members to provide document review, field audits, coordination, and implementation of Quality Assurance initiative during project durations. In addition, this position will assure client satisfaction throughout the project.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct Cotton Construction Internal Field Audits

  • Review and recognize deviations in Internal Audits.

  • Develop onsite training programs to mitigate compliance concerns.

  • Maintain compliance of any record keeping requirement programs for specific jobsites

  • Provide insights on jobsites to identify, evaluation, and control of hazards.

  • Creates, documents, and distributes all QA/QC plans, checklists, inspection, completion lists, punch lists, and reports.

  • Uses data collected to identify means of reducing deficiencies and improving overall quality and provides action remedial responses.

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise

Background Requirements:

  • Two to Five years of general construction industry experience is required

  • 1-3 years of previous experience of QA/QC in the construction industry

  • Must be technically proficient and knowledgeable about construction industry, ability to effectively interact with project team members, clients, subcontractors

  • Must be well organize, diligent, and be a self-starter

  • Must be flexible and can adjust to sudden changes in work priorities and travel changes

  • Attention to detail and extreme care in performing tasks accurately and carefully are essential

Education:

  • Bachelor of Science of Construction Management or Work Experience Equivalent

Experience:

  • 1-3 years of previous experience of QA/QC in the construction industry

  • Experience in Construction or Project Management

  • Demonstrated proficiency in data analysis, and performance/operation metrics.

  • Experience with problem-solving, decision-making while being detail and execution-oriented

  • Leadership Experience

Knowledge and Skills:

• Strong prioritization and organizational skills

• Excellent organizational skills and the ability to perform in a fast-paced environment

• Strong focus on execution and able to work as part of a team

• Excellent attention to detail, and proficient in Microsoft Office and document comparison programs.

• Flexible team player who enjoys working in environments that will require juggling multiple concepts and project

• Professional integrity and works with a positive attitude

• Able to collaboratively work with others in achieving desired results.

• Proven and effective verbal, written and interpersonal abilities.

• Ability to motivate team
