IT Desktop Support Technician

  • Government Solutions, serving government customers globally, including capabilities that cover the full lifecycle of defence, space, aviation and other government programs and missions from research and development, through systems engineering, test and evaluation, program management, to operations, maintenance, and field logistics.

  • Sustainable Technology Solutions (‘STS’), featuring proprietary technology, equipment, catalysts, digital solutions and related technical services for the monetization of hydrocarbons, including refining, petrochemicals, ammonia and specialty chemicals, as well as inorganics. It also incorporates the energy transition offerings including onshore and offshore oil and gas; LNG/GTL; oil refining; petrochemicals; chemicals; fertilizers; differentiated EPC; maintenance services; floating solutions; program management and consulting services.

KBR is looking for an IT Desktop Support Technician to work in our Leatherhead office.

Responsibilities

  • Complete desktop configuration, prepare equipment for deployment to end users.

  • Delivery and installation of desktop assets

  • Build/image/configure PCs for deployment to users, following standard processes.

  • Physical movement of hardware equipment

  • Follows KBR IT processes for delivery and support. Ensures work is performed in accordance to company policies, standards, and procedures.

  • Escalates incidents not resolved within established service levels.

  • Maintain good relationships with other staff and promote good morale

  • Follow Health & Safety regulations at all times (Lifting, driving, working within warehouse and storerooms etc.)

Experience

Essential

  • Good level of knowledge in computer systems for hardware and software.

  • Good understanding of operating systems and Microsoft applications. Specifically, Windows 10 and MS Teams.

  • Knowledge of imaging/building of PCs with MECM/CM or similar

  • Good communication skills and good written and spoken English

Desirable

  • Knowledge of ITIL

  • Accepts responsibility and accountability

  • Customer focused

  • Highly organized

  • Ability to follow process under pressure

  • Ability to work independently and/or with peers is recommended and keeping management adequately informed
