Meta Sanctions Compliance Officer in Los Angeles, California

Summary:

This role will support a global sanctions compliance program for a leading social media and fintech company with a dynamic suite of products and services spanning multiple business and product lines.

Required Skills:

Sanctions Compliance Officer Responsibilities:

  1. Assess the effectiveness of Meta's existing sanctions compliance policies and procedures and identify areas for improvement.

  2. Develop recommendations to enhance the overall sanctions compliance framework to ensure that it remains effective and up-to-date with changes to regulations and laws.

  3. Provide guidance and training to other teams within Meta on sanctions compliance policies and procedures.

  4. Collaborate with colleagues across different teams and departments within Meta to ensure that sanctions compliance is integrated into all relevant business processes.

  5. Stay up-to-date with changes to sanctions regulations and laws, as well as emerging trends and best practices in sanctions compliance.

  6. Conduct periodic reviews of Meta's sanctions compliance program to identify potential weaknesses or vulnerabilities and develop plans to address them.

  7. Mange and support special and ad-hoc projects to maintain and/or enhance the sanctions compliance program.

Minimum Qualifications:

  1. Bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as law, finance, or international relations.

  2. At least 3 years of experience working in a similar role within the fintech industry.

  3. Proven understanding of sanctions regulations and laws, as well as experience working with screening software and other relevant technologies.

  4. Proven analytical and problem-solving skills, as well as communication and interpersonal skills.

  5. Experience to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.

  6. Experience identifying relationships and trends in data.

  1. Proficiency in advanced SQL and Python preferred, but not required.

Public Compensation:

$116,000/year to $168,000/year + bonus + equity + benefits
