Responsibilities:

• The Chaplain is a member of the health care team, providing services for the pastoral/spiritual needs and education of patients, families, team members.

• The chaplain is knowledgeable in the areas of theology, spirituality, and pastoral care.

• The chaplain is competent to perform pastoral care functions as needed to support the spiritual and emotional health and well being of those served.

• Ecclesiastical Endorsement is Required.

• Catholic Priest chaplains must have Faculty for Sacraments from the Local Ordinary of the Roman Catholic Diocese/Archdiocese.

• 400 hours, 1 Unit, of Clinical Pastoral Education is required.
