The Social Ministries Coordinator coordinates the Social Ministries of The Salvation Army such as Pathway of Hope, Community Outreach, Food Pantry, Emergency Services, Seasonal Assistance, Community Care Ministries; develops, implements, and evaluates program operations and services; supervises volunteers and ensures work is in compliance with established policies and procedures as well as local, state, and federal regulations; researches and prepares grant proposals and secures program funding; prepares and monitors program expenditures in compliance with program budget. About the role: Develop or expand Social Ministry programs consistent with the needs of the community and the mission of The Salvation Army. Assumes responsibility for the on-going development and monitoring of outcomes, goals, policies and procedures for Social Ministry Programs, including the development of quality improvement plans. Communicates regularly with supervisory, program and management staff to ensure program services meet the holistic needs of clients and remain effective in their delivery. Maintains knowledge of changing community conditions that affect Social Ministry Programs. Maintains current knowledge of community resources, with active participation in community meetings and functions, ensuring that The Salvation Army remains involved in community networking.
