The Career Counselor provides career exploration, assistance with job search, and support services to individuals eligible for Avivo Employment Services. This position will develop and maintain current employer partner relationships as well as develop new relationships with businesses to coordinate services in the community, assist with securing employment, and provide retention supports to those actively employed. PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES: Work closely with the Avivo Recruitment Specialist to identify and market to individuals eligible for Avivo Career Services in the community. Enroll participants into the program and develop individual employment plans focused on stabilizing their situation and working towards obtaining and retaining employment. Assist participants in accessing public and private resources to meet the goals outlined in the plan. Coordinate activities and provide services related to the program including job clubs, mock interviews, resume development and revision, online job search support, and more. Ensure participants have access to short-term skills training and employment readiness sessions as needed to build confidence and skills necessary for employment. Complete all case noting, reporting, and program administrative requirements using various computer databases including: Workforce One, Salesforce, and Papersave. Ensure follow along and other retention supports are provided as needed to each participant. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Human Services, Social Services, or other related field or, four years combined equivalent experience and/or training in human services or related field.
