Job Description

Insight Global is looking for an Embedded Hardware Engineer with experience working with hardware connected software and to be hybrid in Newport Beach, CA. This individual will provide hardware-based software development support for a technology company involved in the creation of dimensional imagery. Responsibilities include modifying and updating an existing application to further improve the UI/UX as well as implement new feature requests and fixes to the local Capture Application, Web API, and asset management UI. Additionally, as a senior software engineer, you will test and optimize the application for desktop, mobile, and cross-browser compatibility using best practices. You will document code, concepts, and business logic as well as create and expand logging for all units. With a focus in optimizing the application interface with motor controller functionality for better performance and ease of use by our customers. This resource will be joining to be a mentor and leader to other engineers (1 internal, 2 offshore). You will be joining a group that has a family-like culture with self-motivated individuals.

Skills and Requirements

· Bachelors degree in computer science or related program.

· 5-7+ years of software development experience with focus in hardware connected software and/or embedded microcontroller.

· Proficiency with Vue, Javascript, HTML, CSS.

· Proficiency with C# and asp.net

· Exposure to C+· Experience working within an AWS environment.

· Familiarity with relational databases, specifically MySQL.

· Experience utilizing Terraform.

· Experience build and deploying through GitHub actions.

· Excellent verbal and written communication and collaboration skills to effectively communicate with both business and technical teams.

· Familiarity with image processing and motion capture software.

· Proven ability to mentor other engineers and/or experience being a team lead with the desire to provide guidance. null
