We’re looking for an amazing Specialist, Entertainment Casting to fill this hybrid role, which is based in our Santa Clarita, CA office. You’ll be responsible for for auditioning and recruiting Cruise Staff, Youth Staff and Activity Staff while also scheduling and maintaining rotational oversight for current teammates in these positions. You’ll foster an inclusive and diverse culture, instilled with our shared purpose and core values. You’ll have the authority to evaluate all candidates’ qualifications during the hiring process as well as make all hiring decisions for new Cruise Staff, Youth Staff, and Activity Staff. Additionally, you’ll make all decisions regarding the proper assignment of current teammates to vessels based on their qualifications, appraisals, and based on the business needs and will partner with management and the scheduling team to assess teammates and action to provide the best resolutions. Finally, you’ll also provide administrative support to the Manager, Casting and Booking, as needed.

Responsibilities

  • Partners with Scheduling Team on rotational oversight for Cruise Staff, Youth Staff, and Activity Staff.

  • Creates, plans, and executes recruitment opportunities and auditions for above disciplines as required.

  • Manages and monitors the recruitment aspect of Princess Cruises’ Entertainment Website in respected disciplines along with additional recruiting platforms.

  • Provides administrative support for the Manager, Casting and Booking, including but not limited to coordinating and maintaining an audition schedule.

  • Assists with the recruitment of Production Casts and Live Characters.

  • Collaborate with Talent Acquisition, Fleet Personnel, Global Talent Partners with the onboarding of new teammates.

  • Review appraisals for onboard teammates with the goal of guiding individual improvement and growth.

  • Attend recruitment conventions and events to bolster the incoming applicant count for key positions.

  • Ensures quality assurance and reviews product through onboard ship visits.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Theater, Dance, Music or Hospitality Management.

  • Minimum 2 years of work experience in cruise or live entertainment industry.

  • Minimum 2 years in a casting or recruitment role in cruise or live entertainment industry.

  • Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office applications; including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and other web-based applications.

  • Engaging personality with keen sense and ability to assess the suitability of a candidate in various comparisons.

  • Proven skills and experience managing people that promotes experiential ownership.

  • Demonstrated experience leading and developing an inclusive and diverse culture.

  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Holland America is unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of employment visas at this time (e.g., H-1B status).

This is a hybrid role, based in our Santa Clarita, CA office. Candidates must be driving distance and comfortable going into the office 3 days per week

  • Base Salary Range: $54,200.00-$73,200.00. The range is applicable for the labor market where the role is intended to be hired. Final base salary is directly related to each candidates' qualifications and experience uniquely.
