UCLA Health Central Service Technician 1, Per Diem - Santa Monica Hospital in Santa Monica, California

Description

In this role you will perform duties to support the Santa Monica Hospital distribution of supplies, equipment, and linen as assigned within UCLA Health. You will work closely with clinical staff and support patient care units as a liaison between the staff and Materials Management to ensure that the clinical department's supply needs are being met. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Order supplies using various databases and track inventory levels

  • Receive and transport shipment; reconcile packing slips against delivered content

  • Provide customer service to staff who come to the issuing window for pick-up

  • Pick supplies and deliver content for medical cases

  • Conduct daily equipment rounds including clean, sterilize, and prepare equipment

This is a part-time per diem (as needed) position with variable work hours and schedule. May convert to Career.

Salary Range: $25.06-25.06 HourlyQualifications

Required:

  • Knowledge of basic computer skills to perform data entry to obtain information from Hospital Mainframe and Lawson EMPAC Systems.

  • Able to push and pull up to 100 pounds, and lift up to 50 pounds.

  • Knowledge of materials management including information regarding proper sterilization techniques, product information, equipment operation etc.

  • Skilled in English language in both written and verbal format.

  • Ability to strictly obeys healthcare regulations for infection control.

  • Demonstrates a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail.

  • Excellent customer service skills; consistently maintains good guest relations and a positive attitude.

  • Ability to adapt to changes in workload and flexible schedule.

  • Ability to attend all workshops and classes as requested.

  • Previous hospital experience preferred.
